May - June 2016
Six evenings of culture and Lambrusco di Sorbara tasting hosted by the main wine producing companies. Visitors will get to know the culture of Lambrusco and its lands, thanks to product tasting, visits to wineries and the production cycle.

The food and wine event held in the historical centre, featuring specialities from Modena, and lots more besides, plus tables set up for the occasion. Just choose one or more itineraries, each one corresponding to a menu and you will earn the right to taste a complete meal, from antipasto to dessert, including aperitif and coffee.
ST. JOHN’S FAIR AND TRADITIONAL BALSAMIC VINEGAR CONTEST

The Fiera di San Giovanni (St. John’s Fair) in Spilamberto attracts thousands of visitors with its displays of agricultural products, crafts and local industry. The programme also includes shows, sports competitions, exhibitions, children’s workshops, restaurants offering typical cuisine and markets. During the fair, the members of the Traditional Balsamic Vinegar Consortium will give the Palio di San Giovanni award to the best family-produced Balsamic.
AGRICULTURAL AND ANIMAL SHOW
For four days, Nonantola will fill with music and spectacle, product stalls, craft and antiques markets, equestrian games, shows and entertainment.
WINE IN JULY
An event to promote Lambrusco DOC from Santa Croce. Local wineries will be hosting six events: readings, concerts, special openings with guided visits and tasting sessions illustrated in a map and a brochure.
GRAPE AND LAMBRUSCO GRASPAROSSA DI CASTELVETRO FESTIVAL
An event involving the whole town that enhances and champions the farming vocation of the Castelvetro area, promoting its wine and food excellences, history and characteristics of its main product, with a rich variety of examples, Lambrusco Grasparossa will be the focal point of initiatives taking place in courtyards and piazzas in the historical centre.
LAMBRUSCO DI SORBARA FESTIVAL
The Lambrusco di Sorbara festival returns again this year to liven up the streets of this town on the two traditional weekends in mid-September. The four evening will see musical and cultural entertainment and a gastronomic stand serving typical festival specialities, plus a pizzeria.
CASTELFRANCO TRADITIONAL TORTELLINO FESTIVAL
2nd week in September 2016
For the entire week you can taste the Castelfranco Traditional Tortellino, the pasta made and rolled by hand, strictly cooked and served in meat stock. Every year, the second Sunday of September sees the historical re-enactment, in period costume, of the legendary birth of the tortellino, with appointment of an "innkeeper" who for a year is the custodian of this local culinary tradition.
LOTTA PER LA SPADA DEI CONTRARI/BATTLE FOR THE CONTRARI SWORD
Savignano sul Panaro
Contest between the town’s six districts to celebrate donation of the feud of Savignano to Uguccione dei Contrari (1409). Youngsters in the town’s six districts fight in games of strength and ability to win the highly prized trophy "Contrari Sword". For two days, the medieval town of Savignano sul Panaro is turned into an enchanted place where visitors and passers-by are free to mingle with hundreds of characters wearing precious period costumes, enjoying, quite free of charge, all the atmosphere and the many fixed and itinerant spectacles that add fun to the event.

MAST CÒT - SHOWCASE OF CARS AND BALSAMIC FLAVOURS
An event dedicated to the cooking of grape must in the open-air organised in Spilamberto by the Museum of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar from Modena in collaboration with the Consortium, Le Botteghe di Messer Filippo and Spilamberto town council, held on the first weekend in October.
