BECAUSE OF THE 2012 EARTHQUAKE, PALAZZO RANGONI IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED.
The ancient medieval village of Castelvetro, lying on the hills in a striking view, offers to the tourist some interesting festivals: the Wine's Festival, every year in September; "Mercurdo", the Absurd's Festival; "The XVIth Century and its splendour", with the living draughts, the historical cortege and the castle's party. Castelvetro is also well-known for its gastronomy and its typical products, such as Lambrusco Grasparossa, walnut liqueur, honey, Balsamic vinegar, Parmigiano Reggiano, that you can easily taste in the several restaurants and agricultural tourism agencies of the surroundings.

How to get there
By car: from Modena take S.S.12 Abetone-Brennero, named Nuova Estense, in the direction Montale. Then turn left in the direction Castelvetro, taking the provincial road n.7.
