Sassuolo is the main pole of Italian ceramic industry. The "Palazzina della Casiglia", once Assopiastrelle's seat, houses the Research Centre of Italian ceramic tiles industry: the exhibition shows the artistic, technological and commercial evolution of this craftmade product. In Sassuolo you can admire the magnificent Ducal Palace, a jewel of Baroc culture in the North of Italy. It was sumptuosly frescoed by Jean Boulanger, the official painter of Este's court that worked together with some of the main painters coming from Bologna.

fetontesassuolo.jpgNot far away, only twenty minutes drive from Sassuolo, there is Salvarola, a nice green place up on the hills. There lie Salvarola Spa, renowned already in the Roman times, which provide four kinds of healing water: salt-bromine-iodic water, sulphur-sodic water and calcic water.
Set in the park of Salvarola and surrounded by a very beautiful garden, we find Balnea Wellness Center with several thermal pools at different water temperatures, underwater massage jets, fountain and waterfall.
