Carpi confirms itself as the “capital” of this artistic technique. This new exhibition shows the forty years of history of xylography in Carpi. A bond between the city of the Pio family and this particular artistic technique, established by the figure of Ugo da Carpi (1470-1532), considered one of the most important xylographers of the Renaissance, as well as the inventor of the so-called “chiaroscuro” in wood engraving.

Opening hours

From Monday to Friday 10 am - 1.00 pm; on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays 10 am - 6.00 pm. Closed on Monday.
