Monument to the Prancing Horse

Maranello - MO - 41053

The Prancing Horse is the symbol of Ferrari all over the world. Now is also a work of art given to the Maranello Town Council by the sculptor of Albanian origin Helidon Xhixha. The statue represents a big horse made of stainless steel, 5 meters high and weighing 800 chilos. On 14th October 2003, after the ferrari's victory in the Formula One World Championship, the statue was placed in the centre of the roundabout in Via Grizzaga. A "strategic" and suggestive position: The wind tunnel designed by the architect Renzo Piano and the new sections of Ferrari factory are just few metres away.
