What you will see
The Modena City Tour is a guided walking tour through Modena’s historic centre.
Your local guide will lead you through the heart of the city, starting with the outstanding Romanesque complex formed by Modena Cathedral, the Ghirlandina Tower and Piazza Grande, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1997.
The tour continues through some of the most characteristic streets and corners of the historic centre before reaching Piazza Roma, overlooked by the impressive Ducal Palace of Modena.
The tour takes place mainly outdoors and is an excellent introduction to Modena’s history, art and cultural heritage.

Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.

Cancellation policy
Tickets are non-refundable in the event of cancellation by the customer.
Cancellation requests sent in writing only to info@visitmodena.it no later than 48 hours before the scheduled service entitle the customer to a voucher for the same amount as the cancelled service. The voucher can be used to purchase other services available on VisitModena.
Important information
We recommend wearing comfortable shoes. For safety reasons, slippers, flip-flops and high-heeled shoes are strongly discouraged.

Does the tour include admission to any monuments?
The tour takes place mainly outdoors. On some dates, it may include a visit to the interior of Modena Cathedral, subject to opening hours, religious services and availability. (Not possible on Sunday Morning)
Is the tour suitable for children?
Yes. Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult. On selected dates, the Modena City Tour Kids is also available for children and families.
What happens in case of bad weather?
The tour normally takes place even in the rain. We recommend checking the weather forecast and dressing accordingly.
Where is the meeting point?
The meeting point is indicated in the booking confirmation and on the tour page.

Yes. Places are limited, so advance booking is recommended.
