Post office exchange service
Services offered
Since the introduction of the Euro the post office exchange service is authorised to BUY and SELL only four foreign currencies:
- Swiss Frank
- Pound Sterling
- Japanese Yen
- U.S. Dollar
The exchange rates applied refer to the current day; on Mondays the rate of the previous Saturday is applied.
A fixed commission of € 6,00 is charged applied to every € 1000 changed. It is compulsory to have an identity document and a fiscal code.
Foreign bank notes must be ordered in advance in the case of sizeable amounts.
