Abbey of San Pietro Apostolo
The current abbey church was consecrated in 1518; in the following years the stupendous Cloister of the Columns was also built. The interior of the church is full of works created between the 15th and 16th centuries. By Antonio Begarelli are the six large terracotta statues depicting the Madonna della Concezione and various saints, the ninth chapel in which the Apogee Begarelliano, the last work of the artist and the Pietà is located. Noteworthy is the sixteenth-century organ by Giovanni Battista Facchetti. Of particular value is the sacristy with the frescoes by Girolamo da Vignola. Attached to the church is the Monastic Spezieria with acetaia.

Closed in 1796, the Spezieria of the Monastery of San Pietro di Modena was reopened in 2007 and sells products from other Italian and European Benedictine monasteries
