Modena Golf & Country Club

Modena Golf & Country Club

Established in 1987 on the outskirts of Modena it was designed by the German player, Bernhard Langer, who pinpointed the correct orientation of the holes in relation to the lay of the land, personally extolling the design techniques particularly suited to the game of attack in a short performance during his official visit in '91.

Depending on who tees off, the course can be murderous for professionals and fun for Sunday players. The greens of two par 3 holes are surrounded by water and a large lake awaits the courageous at the 18th hole. You can attempt the feat or prudently work your way around the obstacle avoiding to fly over the water. Covering over one hundred hectares, the golf course is among the best in Italy for its construction features. The wide greens and tees, the fairway design and the five artificial lakes make it the ideal course and natural site for top-level competitions such as the Italian Open which celebrated its 50th edition on this course. The Executive course, the large driving range and two tennis courts complete the sports facilities.
A restaurant serving refined dishes or delicacies of the local cuisine, a bar, two swimming pools, a billiard-room and a TV and card-playing room welcome the players and their guests after their golfing "efforts".
The Modena Golf & Country Club is strategically positioned so that it can easily and quickly be reached from every direction: Modena, Sassuolo, Vignola, Carpi and the major towns in the area.
