La Bonissima
In the heart of Modena, you will find the rare food specialties from this area, as the result of tradition and rarities from our local producers.
For three days, Piazza Grande - a privileged space for markets since ancient times, as evidenced by the 13th-century statue of "La Bonissima" from which the initiative takes its name and which symbolizes "good commerce" - will be transformed into a showcase of the area's excellent food and gastronomic products, true specialties that are often impossible to find on store shelves because the very limited quantity produced makes them difficult to trade. The centrality of Modena's high-quality food culture, which is increasingly established nationwide, is the common thread that will tie this edition together.
The numerous pagodas set up in the square will host various stands of farms, bakeries, artisan workshops and producers of superfine foods, all to be discovered or rediscovered. In addition to the large market with traditional specialties, the program also includes a series of side events.
