Vignola è tempo di ciliegie

Vignola è tempo di ciliegie

“Vignola è tempo di ciliegie” is an established event that celebrates the “Moretta cherry” for which the town is famous worldwide.

The ruby red of the cherry is the main theme of the various activities that are proposed every year in June. The stalls of local agricultural producers, the ancient traditions recounted through exhibitions, themed showcases, but also new agricultural technologies, organic productions, PDO products and tastings are the protagonists. There are also many other side events such as shows, motor rallies, sports, artistic and cultural activities.

2026 Edition
May 30–31, June 1–2 and June 6–7

Two weekends dedicated to cherries and local cuisine, featuring music and live performances, show cooking and tastings, guided tours and workshops for children.

Strolling through the streets of the historic center, visitors can stop at the “food courtyards,” with Emilia-Romagna food and wine stands open all weekend, offering a rich selection of local specialties — from crescentine and borlenghi to a variety of fried delights — all to be enjoyed with a good glass of wine or excellent beer.

Piazza dei Contrari, with the majestic Rocca di Vignola and the elegant Palazzo Barozzi, provides a stunning backdrop for historical reenactments, show cooking events and tastings. A wide range of activities is also dedicated to children, including themed experiences, readings and creative workshops.
