Il Baluardo

From July 13 to 18, JAZZ OPEN Modena will take over the Baluardo, a cultural space born within the last remnants of the city’s ancient fortifications, with a program dedicated to the many shades of jazz expression and a lineup of outstanding artists.

• July 13: Emma Smith | Versatile British artist and winner of the 2024 Parliamentary Jazz Vocalist of the Year award.
• July 14: Francesca Tandoi | Pianist considered a key figure in the European jazz scene for her ability to reinterpret bebop and hardbop.
• July 15: Andrea Sabatino | Jazz trumpeter from Puglia, a pure talent in his field.
• July 16: Mammal Hands | Band renowned for their captivating and hypnotic live performances.
• July 17: Aaron Parks | American musician, one of the most influential and respected pianists of his generation.
• July 18: Hervé Samb | Visionary Senegalese guitarist, accompanied by his band.
