Acetaia Bompana

The history of this company starts from the beginning of the previous century. Our grandparents were simple farmers who owned few groups of barrels for family use but in 1950 our father Vecchi Secondo passionate about balsamic vinegar decided together with his father Egidio to open a restaurant with the sale of food .In 1961 a hotel restaurant that over the years will become well known and appreciated. In the meantime, the traditional balsamic vinegar of Modena continues to mature and the Vecchi family adds several barrels and vats, thus expanding the production to present a unique and ideal product on the tables of their restaurant for seasoning their delicious dishes. In the seventies began the first marketing of Bompana Balsamic Vinegar. In 2001 our family decided to leave the restaurant to devote themselves entirely to the production of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PDO and expanding and diversifying the production with sauces and food condiments: Balsamita, Balsaba, Armonia and offering many specialties resulting from the work of farmer friends in the shop open to the public and companies.

GUIDED TOURS: free guided tours are available for both groups and individuals, with tasting of vinegars by the spoon. Average visit duration 40 minutes. For groups of more than 20 people, the average duration of the visit with spoon tasting is 60/90 minutes.

PRODUCTS SOLD IN THE VINEGAR FARM: Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena D.O.P. in various types and aging, food dressings, Saba, jams, Parmigiano Reggiano, Lambrusco and other local wines, honey, desserts, wholemeal pasta of ancient grains, salt, juices, oil, nocino, grappa.
